Exploring the world through historical and contemporary fiction
I'm Jennifer Bohnhoff, and I'm an author. During my 15 years and an educator I taught middle and high school English as a Second Language, Reading Intervention, Language Arts, World History, Ancient History, US History, and New Mexico History. Now I'm devoting my time to writing.
I live high up in the Sandia Mountains in Central New Mexico. Here, the air is thin and the views are spectacular. I love to hike and run on mountain trails and I love to see the Milky Way stretch across my dark sky.
I may live up where the air is thin, but I do not pull my stories out of thin air. They are meticulously researched using journals, diaries, old newspapers and other primary and secondary sources. I hope they open your eyes to new ways of thinking about the past.
"What I love most: that "ah hah" moment when a reader suddenly understands the connections between himself, the past, and the world around him. Those moments are rarified, mountain-top experiences."
